Because the author shares his own struggles throughout the book, the content is very relatable to the reader. You learn quite a bit about WHY we are the way we are, but equally important, you’re informed early on that you have the power to change the things that tend to “steamroll over you” without warning. The process that’s outlined (which involves identifying and assessing your own triggers and traumas) is well organized, insightful, and presented in manageable bite-sized sections. The reader is prompted to answer thought-provoking questions and is guided to write about his/her own thoughts and experiences. Every exercise keeps the reader engaged.I’m only halfway through it, but I already recommended this effective, introspective workbook to a close friend. I am ALREADY enjoying the benefits of the self-healing I’ve done so far; I’m sure many others will, as well.
