This is a really gorgeous eye palette. I don't typically think of Tory Burch for makeup but once I stumbled upon this I found myself the proud owner of 4 eye shadow palettes (Catch, Pas du Tout, Marakech, and Cat's Meow) not to mention something like 5 of her lipsticks.I was drawn in immediately from the packaging. The outside has a cute floral design that immediately makes me smile and inside are six beautiful shades: Gamine (natural ivory), Paillette (metallic bronze), Menagerie (copper pink), Jolie Laide (shimmering dark chocolate brown), Beau (golden violet) and Au Contraire (matte black). Before I bought this I remember looking at the colors debating if they were TOO neutral and too close to other eye shadows I already own (like the Naked 3 palette), but the more I looked at the more I decided the shades were beautiful and different enough to justify the purchase. Beau in particular I find to be really, really pretty. And the upside of these being so neutral is that they are great for everyday more natural looks. Size wise, in total they seem to be .42 oz/12 g, so a bit less than what I would normally consider a full-size shadow, but still a very good size for a palette. The palette also comes with a two sided brush and a card with two suggested eye looks. So far I've been playing around with this palette and really loving it. With my skin tone, Gamine works really well for an all over lid color. Then I've been playing around with using the shades i the palette to do some eye contouring. And I've been really loving Beau or Menagerie on my lid. I've been finishing the look off with Stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara and Kat Von D Waterproof Autograph Pencil in Turbo Lover. It makes for quite a pretty look. The one thing I will say is that while these don't have a lot of fallout and the formula feels really nice (very velvety and soft) the color payout definitely isn't as vibrant as a lot of the shadows I'm typically using (Urban Decay, Too Faced, Smashbox, etc.). It definitely takes more product to achieve the same level of color. But because I'm a girl who is often trying to go for a more subtle eye look, I personally don't mind it and if anything, it helps me from making my eye contouring too intense. And while I love the pretty pattern, I also do wish she had opted for a more durable case since I have several palettes from other brands that are made of cardboard and find myself hesitant to travel with them since they do damage over time. That said, I do appreciate the extra large mirror. The size and shape of it are handy.Overall, this is a really lovely palette. The color payoff and cardboard construction are a little less than ideal, but the colors are really pretty and a great addition to my makeup collection.
